Who we are...

he Utah Association of Community Services (UACS) is an organization of 40 private agencies/business that assist people with disabilities throughout Utah. The majority of our members were started over 25 years ago by families with loved ones with disabilities and several still remain within school districts. Provider members are licensed, qualified agencies that contract with the Department of Human Services, primarily the Division of Services to People with Disabilities, the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation and Work Force Services to assist individuals living in their homes and communities through quality services including residential, day training, supported employment, family support, and respite care. Meetings and Training
UACS has regularly scheduled meetings and trainings sessions. We offer meetings to both the general public and the Executive coucil throughout the year. The meetings provide a way for UACS to keep both our members and the the public informed about the services we and our providers offer. More >>>
We offer "Support, Options, Actions for Respect" (SOAR) training to our members several times each year. Developed by UACS for our members as our approach to positive interactions with the people we serve. S.O.A.R. is approved by the Utah Department of Human Services, Division for Services for People with Disabilities. More >>>
